Since 2006, EAMCEF has been committed to conserving the 23,000 km² Eastern Arc Mountains (EAMs), one of the World’s 34 Biodiversity Hotspots. In line with this, over 19,600 community members have been supported in adopting energy-efficient stoves, which in turn helps improve air quality, reduce deforestation, lower carbon emissions and conserve energy and biodiversity. Additionally, over 1,815 individuals have been trained to build these stoves and ensure their continued use. Moreover, 6.5 million trees have been planted to create green spaces, improve air quality, and enhance biodiversity. Importantly, EAMCEF has developed and shared several policy briefs that continue to advocate for the protection of this vital area and its ecosystem services.

Join us in preserving the EAMs for the health of people and the Planet, for both present and future generations.
