EAMCEF is honored to support the amazing women living around the Eastern Arc Mountains (EAMs). Through our continued efforts, we are uplifting communities and safeguarding the crucial mountain forests. By decreasing the dependency on fuelwood, we contribute to reducing deforestation and mitigating the effects of climate change.

Through this initiative, we have provided financial support to over 19,600 community members to adopt energy-efficient stoves, which reduce the collection time and amount of fuelwood used by more than 50%, help enhance air quality, reduce deforestation, lower carbon emissions, and conserve energy and biodiversity. As a result of improved stoves with two cooking provisions, this initiative has also reduced the smoke associated with respiratory diseases and the time women spend cooking. Moreover, more than 1,815 people have been trained to construct these stoves, ensuring their long-term use.

Together, we can protect both people and the environment. Let’s join hands to bring greater positive change to society and the World. Happy women, happy community, happy environment, thriving biodiversity!
