We sincerely appreciate the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism (MNRT) for the precious night of Serengeti Awards 2025, held on 31 January 2026 at Mount Meru Hotel, Arusha, where the Eastern Arc Mountains Conservation Endowment Fund (EAMCEF) was recognised and honoured as the Best Conservation Partner in Forestry.
This remarkable recognition affirms our long-term commitment and unwavering support to forest conservation across the Eastern Arc Mountains (EAMs), particularly the nine priority Protected Areas and the 244 villages adjacent to Udzungwa Mountains National Park and Chome, Nilo, Magamba, Amani, Kilombero, Uzungwa Scarp, Uluguru, and Mkingu Nature Forest Reserves.
Since 2006, our vision has remained clear “to see that the EAMs and the people who depend on them live in harmony as one sustainable ecosystem”.
Happy local communities! Healthy forest ecosystems! Transformative interventions that reduce pressure on forest resources!
We dedicate this achievement to our partners, donors, local communities, and all conservation champions working tirelessly to safeguard Tanzania’s globally significant montane forests.
